Hopster Hires Customer Experience Veteran as Vice President of Marketing
Marc Glazer Joins Hopster’s Leadership Team to Bolster Brand Awareness
Madison, WI, September 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hopster (www.hopster.com), the premiere coupon site that pairs big brand savings with powerful engagements, today announced the addition of Marc Glazer as the company’s new vice president of Marketing. Glazer brings more than 20 years of experience optimizing brand marketing and customer engagement for companies including Verizon, Trek Bicycles and TGIFriday’s. Specializing in marketing, advertising, brand and digital strategy, and loyalty, Glazer joins Hopster to design effective message and marketing strategies across all channels, formats and media and help build world-class products.
“We are excited to have Marc here, he understands the power of what we are setting out to do: when coupons are combined with engagement, they become a powerful way to identify, activate and retain consumers,” says Brian Wiegand CEO of Hopster. “His ability to help position us as a data-driven company dedicated to delivering on 1:1 relationship building for CPGs, rather than simply being perceived as promotions company, while also amplifying all of our B2B and B2C marketing efforts is truly huge win for Hopster.”
A veteran in understanding the voice of the customer, Glazer served as the vice president of brand loyalty for Kobie Marketing – leading creative agency services for companies such as Verizon, and TGIFriday's. Before that Glazer was copy director of Hanson Dodge Creative – providing creative direction and branding strategies for companies including Trek Bicycles, Johnson Outdoor brands, Thule and Wilson Sporting Goods.
Prior to this, Glazer served in senior positions at Eddie Bauer and The Swiss Colony. His personal portfolio of communications work extends across a variety of vertical markets, including retail, active lifestyle, financial services, health care and consumer products. Glazer holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
