Clear Channel to Sponsor First Annual Metrobravo! "Best of" Awards Party September 27
Raleigh, NC, September 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Metro Magazine announces that Clear Channel Radio, a leading radio company focused on serving local communities across the U.S. with more than 110 million listeners, has signed on to sponsor the First Annual MetroBravo! Party, which will be held Thursday, September 27, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. The Clear Channel van and tent will be on site offering partygoers information and give-aways.
Tickets are now on sale at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information on the MetroBravo! Party - and for a complete list of the 2007 winners - call 919-831-0999 or visit http://www.metronc.com.
Each spring, Metro Magazine asks its readers to select the best products, stores, services and people from a large selection of categories. The winners are published in Metro’s July and August editions. (Go to www.metronc.com for the list of 2007 winners).
Bernie Reeves, editor and publisher of Metro Magazine, said, "As the region has grown, interest in the MetroBravo! readers poll has grown exponentially. We decided it's time to celebrate the establishments and people that make us one of the most dynamic regions in the country - and we want to recognize the winners and give them a chance to meet the readers who voted for them. It looks like a great party to me."
For the price of admission, party guests are granted access to exhibition booths for free samples of food, beverages, services and special gifts. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the United Arts Foundation of Raleigh and Wake County (www.unitedarts.org).
Music will be provided by 2007 MetroBravo! winners The Dune Dogs, delivering their popular renditions of alternative country ("Country-fried Swamp and Roll,” as they describe their music); the folk-indie rock offerings of talented singer-songwriter Matt Douglas with his band The Proclivities; and, to cap off the evening’s entertainment, the signature bring-down-the- house music of legendary rock group Arrogance.
Party-goers will also discover a host of offerings and information from MetroBravo! Award-winners in exhibition booths set up in the amphitheatre’s Crescent Deck. There will be “lots of great give-aways,” said special events planner Katie Poole, "plus displays of new products, including the latest models from Lexus."
MetroBravo! Party tickets are $35, on sale through Ticketmaster and Metro Magazine. Corporate tables, with catering by the area's top chefs, are also available. Call Katie Poole at 919-831-0999 for reservations and additional sponsorship opportunities.
