Energy Specialist with 12 Years Experience Joins ASHRAE Board for 2013-2014
Des Moines, IA, September 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Weidt Group®, an energy and software consulting firm, has announced that Andrew Pospisal has been elected secretary chair of the Iowa Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) board of governors. He brings more than 12 years of experience in the energy efficiency, building controls and energy dashboard industries to his position.
Pospisal has been an energy specialist with The Weidt Group since 2011, focusing on Measurement & Verification and Ongoing Performance Track activities. Since 2012 he has worked with the University of South Carolina in helping its new business school towards a LEED® Platinum certification goal. Pospisal also joined the firm’s B3 Benchmarking platform team to support public sector benchmarking activities in Iowa, Minnesota and across the United States.
Prior to joining The Weidt Group, Pospisal was a senior software engineer and director of professional services at Quality Attributes Software, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University with an emphasis on Control System Design.
