New York City, NY, January 09, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Lounge Restaurant Don Veitia (Don Ve-e-t-á) is proud to announce its grand opening; here New Yorkers will have the opportunity to explore the culinary diversity of the many regions of the Mediterranean, as well as, its very own private label of gourmet coffees and cocoa.
Don Veitia is a classic and tranquil oasis steps away from the United Nations Headquarters, where guests can enjoy classic foods and cocktails in a refined and elegant atmosphere. General Manager and Sommelier, Mark Roth, has designed an extensive International wine list featuring a variety of vintages and other sought after selections to complement the wonderful cuisine; in addition to an outstanding dessert menu, which utilizes our very own, exclusive brand of Don Veitia Cocoa products.
Mr. Roth, formerly of Evviva, Fiamma, Balthazzar, Cipriani Downtown, and Locanda Vini E Olli, uses the freshest and best products possible; creating an exciting and constantly evolving menu. Don Veitia’s menu may feature dishes such as:
Red Snapper en Pappilote –The remarkable executive chef at Don Veitia combines fresh Red Snapper with Shrimp, Calamari, Mussels, Clams, and Scallops to create his take on this classic Mediterranean dish.
Crab Ravioli- All of the pastas are homemade and 100% organic using the very best ingredients possible. Our Crab Ravioli is made with Fresh Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and Ricotta Cheese and finished with our Cream Sauce.
Steak Au Poivre- Don Veitia chefs use only the very best prime-cut meats for this classic dish of Shell Steak, coated with fresh black pepper and sautéed with Brandy and Cream.
Lunch guests at Don Veitia are invited to choose form several of our most popular selections with additional daily options from our value oriented, pre-fixe menu for only $21.95. At Don Veitia, we accommodate larger groups; whom are offered the opportunity to customize the menu for their guests and are welcomed to utilize the semi-private dining area, as well as the lounge facilities.
Don Veitia will also host a variety of wine and food events, ranging from winemaker dinners to informal wine tasting. We are also happy to create a customized wine event for your next business or personal function.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests are enveloped by the elegant and refined atmosphere. The white clothed, candlelit tables reflect a soft amber glow against our cream wall niches. The several seating levels provide a private eating experience perfect for any size group, from a table of two to a party of twenty.
