Opportunities Abound for Voice Over Artist in Principal Role as Independent Film Premieres
Charlotte Elle Hanna portrays Millie in A Simple Life premiering to the public October 26, 2013 and also produces first audiobook available at Audible.com
Franklin, PA, October 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Charlotte Elle Hanna has performed as a singer for audiences since the age of three and has enjoyed prime roles from time-to-time in local theater work over the past 40 years. However, one dream had continued to escape her until earlier this year.
"In February, auditions for an independent film were announced in the local paper. It was just a blurb and I almost didn't even see it," recalls Hanna. "At first I was excited and determined to attend the auditions, which were literally being held just a stone's throw from my house, but it was the day of my mother's surprise 79th birthday and my sister was flying in from Montana and basically, I talked myself out of going."
Hanna's son encouraged her to go through with it and she believes that had he not convinced her, she would have missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime and the plan God had for her. Since then, opportunities for writing and acting seem to present themselves at every turn.
Hanna had no idea what the film was actually about or what to expect at the audition, which was to include an acting workshop. "I figured that the workshop alone might be worth the effort," said Hanna, "but I also thought there was probably no way I would even get in the door. I figured that everybody and their brother would be there to try out, but the weather had been pretty bad just days before, the annual ice carving festival was going on in town, and it turned out not many showed up to audition that day."
Since landing a principal role in Scott Nelson's film, A Simple Life, Hanna has also been given opportunity to work as a voice over actor, with one recently produced children's book for sale on the Amazon site, Audible.com, and three more currently in production. "To bring a story to life, whether on film or audio, is something I absolutely love doing! I am so thankful for these opportunities at this time in my life."
Hanna portrays Millie, a private duty nurse who fights to give her aging patient her dying wish, to see her estranged daughter, one last time. Hanna admits the film is a "real tear-jerker" and adds that the ultimate message of the film is one of reconciling our past with the present, and overcoming the difficulties in family relationships.
"I'm very excited to see the audience's response to the film. A lot of very talented people have worked hard to make this movie a quality, family experience." Hanna says that the icing on the cake for those involved is the fact that the film is being presented, free of charge, to the community where much of the filming took place, on Saturday, October 26 at the Venango College of Clarion University Campus in Oil City, PA beginning at 7pm. She adds, "I'm told that it will be shown as many times as necessary to accommodate those wishing to see it."
Hanna and those with principal roles in the film earned IMDB (Internet Movie Database) credits, which can be viewed at imdb.com.
