Fort Myers, FL, October 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Connie Ramos-Williams, CEO and President of CONRIC PR & Marketing | Publishing will be presenting “The Making of an MVPr – Most Valued Press Release” at the PR University event hosted by the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). The event will take place on Friday, October 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Edison State College, located at 8099 College Parkway in Fort Myers. The full-day professional seminar is open to any public relations professional or student who wants to gain new insight into the field. Registration is $75 for FPRA members, $90 for non-members, and $35 for students.
Every year, the Southwest Florida FPRA hosts the PR University professional seminar, inviting speakers from across the state to discuss current trends in the changing market and the combination of digital and traditional communication elements. This year, the conference focuses on developing and implementing “Slam Dunk Projects for Clients.” The presenters will discuss everything from crisis communication and issues management to new, cutting-edge tools to use in your daily PR function to make “slam dunks” for your clients.
Though the press release may may seem like a dying PR service, it has now become one of the most powerful marketing tools available, thanks to the Internet. In her presentation, Connie Ramos-Williams will discuss the evolution of the press release and what an effective press release looks like in the digital age. Joining Ramos-Williams as presenters at the seminar are other PR professionals including Erik Stafford, Creative Director at ISOOSI; Cindy Woolley, APR, Author and Public Relations, Branding, and Community Outreach Specialist at C2 Communications; and Barry Epstein, APR, President & CEO at Barry R. Epstein Associates, Inc.
This year’s PR University will also include a “Dunk City Panel,” where speakers will discuss how the #DunkCity phenomenon brought a spotlight to Southwest Florida. Special guests will include officials from Florida Gulf Coast University speaking on the marketing success of Dunk City.
