CAI’s George Ports Appointed to North Carolina Industrial Commission Chairman Advisory Council
HR Management Firm’s Senior Executive, Government Relations Joins Council for State Worker’s Compensation Agency.
Raleigh, NC, October 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bruce Clarke, president and CEO of CAI, a human resource management firm that helps organizations maximize employee engagement while minimizing employer liability, announced that George Ports, Senior Executive, Government Relations, has been appointed to the North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC) Chairman Advisory Council. The NCIC is a state agency created by the General Assembly in 1929 and charged with administering the North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act and Tort Claims Act.
In his role, Ports will be provided with the unique opportunity to present and discuss the concerns of human resources professionals, specifically CAI member organizations, with insurance carriers, employers, and employee representatives. Additionally, Ports and his fellow council members will be equipped with the authority to present important issues to state commissioners for further review and discussion as relevant and needed, further strengthening his ability to serve the needs of the human resources industry and CAI members. As a member of the council, Ports will attend quarterly meetings.
