Welsh Packaging Solutions Moving Its Operations to a New 154,000 Square-Foot Facility in Morrisville
Operating Under the Ernest Packaging Solutions Name, Packaging Company Spurs Need for Additional Square Footage Due to Sustained Growth.
Morrisville, NC, October 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Welsh Packaging Solutions, a packaging company acquired by Ernest Packaging Solutions in November 2012, is moving its operations and services to a new, 154,000 square-foot facility in Morrisville, located at 510 Innovation Ave. Welsh Packaging Solutions will be fully integrated into the Ernest Packaging Solutions family of companies effective winter 2013, and will adopt the Ernest Packaging Solutions name as part of the expansion.
The new facility will continue to provide onsite design and testing, a wood shop, custom package development, repackaging capabilities, foam fabrication and kitting, and full-sourced packaging supplies. Presently the site is undergoing major renovations, including construction of a state of the art manufacturing center- where Ernest Packaging Solutions will house its wood and foam shop.
Since being acquired by Ernest Packaging Solutions in November 2012, the company has increased its workforce by more than 20 percent and plans to continue hiring more personnel as the company opens its new facility.
The Raleigh-Durham division welcomes general manager Howard Hoyt and his family. Howard is originally from the neighbor state of Virginia, and currently serves as general manager of Ernest Packaging Solution’s San Diego division. By moving to North Carolina, Hoyt will be located much closer to his family. His transition was effective August 1.
The new facility allows the industry leading packaging company, Ernest Packaging Solutions, which is still family owned and operated after more than 65 years, to continue expanding its footprint from coast to coast - offering expertise in foam fabrication and kitting, IST drop testing capabilities, and fully sourced packaging solutions for companies across the country
