Electro Standards Designs Model 9925 Multi-Channel A/B Switch to Control DB9 and RJ45 Cat 5 Devices from a Single Switch Box
The Model 9925 is a Multi-Channel A/B Switch that allows the sharing of two DB9 devices connected to the A and B ports from a Common port for each of its 3 channels and a fourth channel sharing two Cat5 RJ45 devices from a Common port.
Cranston, RI, October 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Electro Standards Laboratories introduces the Model 9925 4-Channel Switch featuring three channels of DB9 A/B switching and one channel of RJ45 Cat 5 A/B switching in a slim, 19-inch standard rackmount enclosure. This network switch allows users to simultaneously switch data over from A to B ports or B to A ports for up to (6) DB9 devices and (2) RJ45 devices connected to the Common ports.
The Model 9925 utilizes 3 channels to allow quick connection to any one of two DB9 interface devices (A and B) from one common port for each of the three channels. The fourth channel is comprised of RJ45 connectors, certified for Cat 5 compliance, allowing control of any one of two RJ45 interface devices or networks via one common port.
The Model 9925 is transparent to data speed and format. The unit switches all 8 pins of the RJ45 interface and pins 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 of the DB9 interface. The switch utilizes a high quality sealed switch with self-wiping low impedance contacts. All four channels are switched simultaneously via a front panel rotary knob, eliminating the need to plug and unplug cables. No external power is required to operate this network switch.
The rugged, anodized black box packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding. The unit measures 19.0” W x 1.75” H x 8.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm). The switch weighs approximately 2.5 lbs (1.2 kg). Network cables for the switch installation are also available from the company.
