Hill, Chesson & Woody Wins Triangle Business Journal’s 2013 Best Places to Work Award
North Carolina-Based Consulting Firm Honored for Employee Satisfaction and Human Resource Efforts.
Durham, NC, October 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a health and welfare benefits brokerage and consulting firm that designs, manages and implements employee benefit programs, has announced that the firm has won Triangle Business Journal’s 2013 Best Places to Work award. Winners were selected based on an employee-survey process conducted by Quantum Market Research that rated employee response to a standard list of questions.
With 62 employees, HCW qualified for the medium-sized business category. Once the initial nomination was submitted, the company had to meet a required percentage of employee participation to be eligible for the award.
The firm stood out among other nominees for its dedication to improving employees’ quality of life through various programs spearheaded by employee-led groups focusing on culture, wellness and innovation. Benefits include monthly chair massages, gym reimbursements, salad bars and sneaker days with group walks, all provided by the firm’s wellness committee. Additionally, HCW holds unique health-themed events for employees that include flu shot clinics, blood pressure screenings and diet and exercise challenges.
Among the many benefits offered to employees, HCW ensures employees maintain a healthy work-life balance by offering flexible work schedules, team-building as well as family-centered events, and participating in charitable community walks. HCW also offers a free health advocacy benefit to assist employees with answering questions about their insurance claims, medical records and long-term care options.
Winners were honored at an awards luncheon held Oct. 4 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham, N.C. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/1eETIu4.
