PeopleSurance is Licensed to Sell in the Federally Facilitated Marketplace
PeopleSurance is licensed to sell individual health insurance to individuals qualified to purchase health insurance through the Federally Facilitated Marketplace as well as through its private health insurance exchange.
Virginia Beach, VA, October 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- PeopleSurance is now licensed to sell on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM), also known as the Health Insurance Exchange for individuals and groups. With this new licensure, PeopleSurance is able to assist small groups under 100 employees on and off the Marketplace (Exchange), as well as individual on and off the Marketplace.
With the ability to quote plans through the private marketplace and the Federal Marketplace, PeopleSurance is in a unique position to show businesses and individuals all of their options for comparison purposes.
Employers who purchase coverage through the SHOP (Small Business Health Insurance Options Program) can begin looking for coverage now (October 1) for a January 1, 2014 effective date. SHOP plans allow employers to offer one plan of coverage and qualify the employer for the Small Business Tax Credit of up to 50% of the employer’s contribution. This tax credit is an incentive for employers to offer coverage to their employees. However, if employers offer group coverage off the Marketplace, there is no premium tax credit.
Individuals who purchase coverage through the Marketplace are eligible for premium and cost-share subsidies if their income is within 400% of poverty. PeopleSurance continues to offer a private health insurance exchange for individuals that do not qualify for federal subsidies. President, Brandon Beavers, states, “PeopleSurance is happy to work with individuals on or off the Marketplace, always giving unparalleled customer service with an intricate knowledge of Healthcare Reform.”
At PeopleSurance, we pride ourselves in producing a comprehensive analysis for our group and individual clients. This allows individuals and businesses to make the most informed buying decision for their healthcare needs.
