Comic Collector Live Fans Want 717,980 Comic Books
Comic Book Website has gathered over 700 thousand wish list items in just over two months. Comic Collector Live is re-defining the way comic book enthusiasts collect, buy, and sell comics.
Hendersonville, TN, September 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- By early morning of September 12th at Comic Collector Live the Items Wanted number (which represents the wish list of its users) reached 717,980 Comic Books. This growing community is adding an average of 3,140 comic books to its wish list every day.
What are the most wanted comic books that these users are looking for? The most wanted title is Amazing Spider-Man. Closely followed by Uncanny X-Men and Batman. Other top sought after titles include Action Comics, Fantastic Four, and Detective Comics.
“These are ‘die hard’ fans that love the hobby and are dedicated to completing their collections,” says, Joe Butler, CEO of MidTen Media Inc. and creator of Comic Collector Live. “They really live for this hobby and are serious about collecting. Watching the ‘Items Wanted’ number continuing to rise is like watching the national debt meter go up.”
The user base spans across casual enthusiasts to serious collectors. According to a Comic Collector Live forums poll, 48% of its users have collections of more than 1000 issues, with a few as high as 30,000 issues in their personal collections. “It seems the more issues these collectors add to their collection, the more issues they need,” adds Butler.
Comic Collector Live touts itself as a complete comic book experience providing users with software and a web site where they can organize, buy, sell, and research all things comics. It launched in Feb of 2007 with a beta version of its software, and launched the website in July of that same year. Its Comic Book data is community driven and maintained. New comic books are entered into the system by its users and the information is made available to the entire internet community.
