Jdavis Architects to Compete in National Design/Build Competition for Charity
Raleigh, NC, September 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Jeff Davis, president of JDavis Architects, PLLC, has announced that the firm will again participate in Canstruction®, a national competition that challenges architect and engineer teams to make giant sculptures with canned food. The competition will be held Sept. 23 at the Exploris Museum on 201 East Hargett Street, and the can sculptures will be on exhibit from Sept. 29 through Jan. 27. At the conclusion of the exhibit, all the canned food used will be donated to local food banks.
JDavis Architects is currently seeking corporate and individual sponsors to help fund its project – to construct the Hungry Hungry Hippos entirely out of cans. Sponsors’ names will be listed in the official Canstruction program and displayed alongside the JDavis sculpture throughout the duration of the exhibit.
