1-800-HANSONS Announces “Going Pink” Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

For every pink lawn sign requested, company will donate $10 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Detroit, MI, October 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- 1-800-HANSONS, a leading home improvement contractor based in Troy, MI, has announced its “Going Pink” initiative to help raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

The company said that it will donate $10 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every pink 1-800-HANSONS lawn sign that is put up in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) in Michigan and Ohio—the two states the company services.

1-800-HANSONS, providers of replacement windows, roofing, siding, doors and gutter guards, has set up a website where people can go to request the lawn signs, which are pink versions of the company’s normal, iconic signs.

“My mother died of cancer,” company founder and President Brian Elias said in a recent letter to customers. “So 1-800-HANSONS’ fight against breast cancer is near and dear to my heart.”

The company said no purchase is necessary. Simply call 1-800-HANSONS and request a pink lawn sign. In return, 1-800-HANSONS will donate $10 (to a maximum of $5,000) to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which is the most widely recognized breast cancer fighting organization in the United States.
