Union, NJ, October 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The YMCA of Eastern Union County - Five Points Branch is hosting an open house October 12th from 2:00-4:00pm at the Five Points Branch Early Learning Development Center located within the YMCA at 201 Tucker Avenue, Union, NJ. Visit the facility and surround your child with dedicated staff who provide quality care and promote positive social interaction in a nurturing environment.
Because of the strong belief in families and communities, the YMCA of Eastern Union County offers full time child care/preschool participants a free Full Privilege Membership for the entire family, impacting the lives of children and families both inside and outside of the classroom. Families have the opportunity to come together to have fun; participate in a variety of activities; share, communicate and meet other families while getting healthy in the programs, gyms and pools at any of the 4 YMCA branches located in Elizabeth, Union and Rahway. At the Y, family values, healthy habits and nurturing are of upmost importance.
The Five Points Branch Early Learning Development Center Child Care and Preschool programs impact families by nurturing and developing healthy habits in children through supportive staff who assist children in reaching their full potential. Children are impacted by learning together, playing together, becoming part of a family that supports fun, friendship and endless possibilities. Components of the programs include: Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards, safe and security facilities, High Scope curriculum, 30-60 minutes of healthy activity, healthy meal & snack options, safe adherence to NJ state ratios, as well as Character Development activities to emphasize the YMCA four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Trained and compassionate staff provides a minimum of 2 teachers at all times in the classroom; all certified in American Red Cross CPR and First Aid. The Y encourages the use of problem solving techniques and supports the child’s creative thinking, promotes family events to enhance a child’s natural skill building in an educational setting and provides classrooms fully equipped with learning materials that promote child centered learning. Options are available for children 6 weeks through 5 years, full or part time between the hours of 7:00am-7:00pm, accepts 4C’s vouchers and financial assistance.
