About Edward F. DiCarlo
Dr. DiCarlo was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is currently the Director of the Histopathology Laboratory and Associate Pathologist at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The U.S. News & World Report ranks the hospital as the #1 Best Hospital for Orthopedics in the nation. Dr. DiCarlo's area of expertise at the hospital is pathology and laboratory medicine. He is Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology. Dr. DiCarlo earned his B.S. at Pennsylvania State University, his M.D. at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and his residency training in Pathology at the New York Hospital - Cornell University Medical College. He has lectured widely and has numerous publications to his credit including book chapters on the diseases of the bones and joints. In addition, Dr. DiCarlo is the Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. His spare time is spent reading and cooking.
