CompuGroup Medical Websites Successfully Relaunch on One Platform with e-Spirit
FirstSpirit CMS makes corporate website and multilingual regional websites easy to manage and use.
Boston, MA, October 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- CompuGroup Medical (CGM), a leading global E-health supplier with IT solutions for physicians, hospitals, pharmacies and labs, has relaunched its global websites with the FirstSpirit content management system from e-Spirit AG as a new strategic online platform. This has given the company a powerful and centralized solution that makes it easy to manage its corporate website and its 19 localized websites in 13 different languages.
For CompuGroup Medical's content manager, the overhaul has reduced time and costs involved in providing content both internationally and locally by enabling access to central content grids. The company has now begun to roll out all its international and multilingual websites, now that the corporate website has gone live. Installation and set-up of the CMS as well as the relaunch of CGM's corporate site were handled by e-Spirit's partner edoras, a company specializing in the design and implementation of multichannel content management and e-commerce projects.
Getting relevant information quickly
CGM’s redesign focused on providing clear and simple usability, so that visitors could quickly access the website through their business sector or application and get directly to information and solutions they need through the companies of the CGM Group. A key requirement was that the editorial process be as easy as possible and support the content managers from the different departments as much as possible. The high usability and the lean user interface provided by FirstSpirit in the back-end help to meet the criterion and also make it possible for part-time or freelance editors to work intuitively with the content management system. Because the CMS is more intuitive to use, training and support costs have been reduced for the company’s international websites with its editorial teams located around the world.
Faster international rollouts
CompuGroup Medical also required that its different regional and corporate websites along with the 12 different language versions—English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Czech, Slovakian, Turkish, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian and Polish—be easy to manage. With its multi-tenant and multi-project capability, FirstSpirit made it possible for the company to create pages simply, manage multilingual versions and reuse centralized templates, content, media, and navigation for a range of Web projects. CGM is now able to streamline its content management processes on an international level and considerably accelerate global rollouts. And the new CMS enables centralized company and product information to be easily created, managed and distributed. At the same time, local editors responsible for the various regional and company websites can use the centrally stored templates and, depending on their authorizations, make content available in their local markets. This enables them to target specific user groups while also following the uniform corporate design requirements.
"In order to present our subsidiary and division websites in different countries using a uniform corporate branding approach, we opted for consolidation based on the FirstSpirit content management system," says Marc-Oliver Link, head of development of corporate websites at CompuGroup Medical AG. "At the same time, we greatly benefit from FirstSpirit's simple language management features and high usability for our editors."
