The Myers Group Announces CAHPS® for ACOs Survey Vendor Approval
The Myers Group announces their CMS approval as a survey provider for the CAHPS® for ACOs Survey.
Atlanta, GA, October 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Myers Group, a leader in health care surveys and call center support, is pleased to announce their approval by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) as a survey provider for the CAHPS® for ACOs Survey. This approval is contingent upon successful completion of CMS vendor training scheduled for October 16, 2013.
The Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Survey for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) measures patient experience of care for accountable care organizations. The yearly survey asks patients about the interpersonal aspects of their health care and areas that patients have identified as being important to them. It assesses the seven required patient experience-of-care summary survey measures included in the Medicare Shared Savings Program and the Pioneer ACO Model.
ACOs are responsible for contracting with an approved vendor to administer the CAHPS Survey for ACOs beginning with the 2013 quality reporting period for Pioneer ACOs and the 2014 quality reporting period for Shared Savings Program ACOs. ACOs are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers, who voluntarily come together to give coordinated, high-quality care to their Medicare patients.
