InStep Software Recognizes Customers for Innovative Applications of Software Products at 2013 Annual Users Conference
Award Recipients Include Southern California Edison, Purdue University, National Grid and Southern Company
Chicago, IL, October 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- InStep Software, a leading provider of real-time performance management and predictive asset analytics software, recently presented four customer awards at its 14th Annual Users Conference at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. The recipients, including National Grid, Southern California Edison, Purdue University and Southern Company, were recognized for outstanding innovative applications of InStep’s eDNA and PRiSM software solutions.
The eDNA Innovation Award was presented to Southern California Edison for best real-time data management infrastructure. The utility uses the data historian software enterprise-wide through multiple implementations to manage EMS, DMS, PHASOR and ongoing projects that include CRAS (Centralized Remedial Schemes), Irvine Smart Grid Demonstration and the Tehachapi Battery Storage, among others.
Purdue University accepted the Best eDNA View Display Award for creating an advanced graphical display incorporating symbols, color and animation to monitor the operating conditions of major equipment including boilers, chillers, turbine generators and more.
National Grid, an international electricity and gas company, received the eDNA Most Creative Custom Application Award for creating a voltage profiler application that includes an automatically refreshing heat map.
The PRiSM Catch of the Year was awarded to Southern Company. By using InStep’s PRiSM online condition monitoring software, Southern Company was able to identify a slight variation in equipment that could have potentially caused equipment failure and cost the company hundreds of thousands of dollars.
“These awards were created to show our appreciation for our customers while also highlighting the value that they find in our products and services,” said John Kalanik, president of InStep Software. “The awards ceremony provides the opportunity for us to celebrate our customers’ innovative implementations of InStep Software products. We have found that the conference attendees really enjoy learning about other users’ success stories and strategies that may be helpful at their own organization.”
The Annual Users Conference is designed to ensure that customers receive the greatest return on InStep products through hands-on training courses, case study demonstrations, industry discussions and interactive feedback sessions. The 15th annual conference is slated for the third quarter of 2014.
