Southern Gospel Magazine's 2nd Annual" Front Porch Singing" will be Nov 2, 2013 at the GAP's Amphitheater in Oxford, NC. The GAP (Granville Athletic Park) is located just off Highway 85 north of Durham.
Raleigh, NC, October 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Southern Gospel Magazine's 2nd Annual "Front Porch Singing" will be Nov 2, 2013 from 10-6pm at the GAP's Amphitheater in Oxford, NC. The GAP (Granville Athletic Park) is located just off Highway 85 north of Durham, NC.
"The Front Porch Singing" will be showcasing 13 artists from Ohio, SC, TN, GA and local talent as well. All are recording artists. The hosts for the day are Marty and Ruthie Brewer who have had 2 #1 singles on the charts. "Somebody Say Amen" and their current radio single, "You Make It Rain For Me." They were voted as "Duet Of The Year 2012" for the NC Singing Convention in Benson, NC as well as being nominated for "Favorite Duo of The Year 2013" by The Artist Music Guild.
"The Front Porch Singing" began as a few friends singing from the front porch of the log cabin The Brewers were residing in at the time. It was for just a few friends to come and sing. They mentioned it on their Facebook page and more and more artists wanted to come and sing. So, 15 artists sang and they traveled from Kansas, Florida, Ga., TN, SC and NC. It was the beginning of the event with very humble beginnings.
Southern Gospel Magazine sponsors the "Front Porch Singing" with the advertising, marketing and news releases. The magazine invites the public to come to a Free Concert, bring your lawn chairs, concessions are there. Good wholesome Family Fun and Worship.
