Hexagon Geosystems will strengthen its market position and technology in the mining industry by complementing its well established Leica Geosystems Mining business with the acquisition of Devex. Devex, based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil has a leading market position in the South American market, serving the mining industry with automation solutions for mining operators.
Brisbane, Australia, October 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Devex and Leica Geosystems Mining will both carry on as separate businesses to serve their customers in the mining market. CEO and co-founder Guilherme Bastos will continue to lead Devex and CEO Haydn Roberts will continue to lead Leica Geosystems Mining.
The acquisition of Devex not only advances Hexagon Geosystems' expansion into South America but the mining industry as a whole.
