Tses Glass Signs with BDF Industries for a 250 tpd Furnace Capacity for Its Container Glass Plant in Tses, Namibia
Tses Glass has also appointed BDF Industries to develop and build its 25 MW Eolic Power Plant in Tses to power its furnaces.
Tses, Namibia, October 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Tses Glass (Pty) Ltd, the premier glass manufacturing company in Namibia, has selected and signed with Italy-based BDF Industries SPA on September 24, 2013 in Vicenza, Italy, to supply a furnace and furnace equipment for the 250 tons per day Tses Glass Container Glass plant in Tses, Namibia.
One of the foremost suppliers of glass technology, with more than one hundred years of experience, BDF Industries SPA is the unique supplier able to propose a complete offer for the hollow-glass making industry: from the design and production of furnaces, forehearths and IS machines to complete turn-key plants.
Germany-based Heye International is the engineering, procurement and construction management firm for the 250tpd Tses Glass Container Glass, while Germany-based Siemens, Zippe, MSK, and ghs | glass are the OEM companies for the equipment, technology and processes for this Tses Glass Container Glass, whose construction starts in May 2014.
Tses Glass has also appointed BDF Industries to develop and build its 25 MW Eolic Power Plant in Tses to power its furnaces. "We only seek out and partner with some of the world’s best OEM and engineering companies for the development, engineering, construction, and commissioning of our Tses Glass factories in order to produce high quality glass products that meet the demand of our customers, while offering our local communities with the most value-added opportunities," states Simon Kapenda, Co-founder and Managing-Director.
Tses Glass is being developed to have all four separate manufacturing plants in a single location in Tses, Southern Namibia; starting out with a 250 tons per day Container Glass Plant (Heye International is the EPCM), 600 tons per day Float Glass Plant (ghs | glass gmbh is the EPCM), 350 tons per day Tableware Glass Plant, and 200 tons per day Ultrathin Glass Plant (DTEC is the EPCM), making it the largest dynamic glass manufacturing hub in the world.
"By partnering with these companies, which are some of the world’s top companies engaged in manufacturing and providing top quality equipment, technology, and processes supply for the glass industry, we seek and guarantee to produce high quality glass products for our customers," states Rina da Cruz, Co-Founder and Vice-Chairperson of Tses Glass.
The development of Tses Glass expects to create more than 230,000 new direct and indirect better paying job opportunities in Tses and throughout Namibia. Tses Glass was officially launched by Hon. David Boois, Berseba Constituency Councilor, on February 6, 2013 in Tses with more than 500 people in attendance.
The construction of the Tses Glass Container Glass will start in May 2014 and be completed 26 months later. However, between now and May 2014, different infrastructure projects such as energy, water, transport, and raw materials need to be developed independently and be fully operational before the construction start in order to efficiently serve the Tses Glass Container Glass factories.
