New Book Released: "Guided Reflections on the Gifts of the Spirit"
Deacon Thom Trunzo releases his first book. The book is not a novel, but rather a book of individual reflections to be used either by individuals for private prayer or meditation or be read to groups. Topics include acceptance, forgiveness and healing, call to serve, teachers and other subjects. Homilists, religious education teachers and retreat presenters will find this book helpful.
Wallace, WV, October 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Seventh Direction Journey Within: Reflection on the Gifts of the Spirit was releases on October 3rd, 2013. The author was ordained a Permanent Catholic Deacon in 1995. During the years since, he and his wife Beth have written and led many retreats and presented workshops and seminars. “We have made extensive use of Guided Reflections,” said Deacon Thom, “as opening or closing prayers at many of our presentations. This book contains reflections designed to connect the readers (or listeners) with the gifts of the Spirit in a way that invites them to look inside and experience them personally. The reflections range from acceptance, forgiveness, healing and responding to our call to serve.” The book is written in such a way that a presenter can lead a group in thoughtful meditations, or it can be a tool for an individual to add to his or her private prayer.
The book was published at Smashwords and can be easily accessed at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/361663. There you can download sample pages or purchase the electronic book. The cost is only $2.99/.
Deacon Thom is originally from New Eagle PA, a small town just south of Pittsburgh, PA. His unique experiences with grief ministry, veterans, youth and individual spiritual direction brings a sense of relevancy to the reader. “I think this would be a very useful book for homilists, religious education teachers seminar leaders and thoughtful, spiritual people of any background.” Deacon Thom and his wife, Beth, began their journey into spiritual writing and guidance when they recognized the absence of quiet reflection in the world around them. Their deep connection to each other helped them to find ways to access their own spirituality as a couple and as individuals. It was through these moments of offering each other spiritual direction that they realized the unique opportunity to reach out to others who struggled to find the Spirit within a world that does not see the Wonder and Awe of God in everyday life.
