Postcode Anywhere Scoops HP Smart Business Award
Postcode Anywhere recognised for Business Growth.
Worcester, United Kingdom, October 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Postcode Anywhere, the "what's your postcode people?” has been awarded for Business Growth at this year’s HP Smart Business Awards, announced this week.
Now in its second year, the HP Smart Business Awards continue to promote the best achievements of the UK’s small and medium sized enterprises (SME), to celebrate their contribution to the national economy and highlight HP’s commitment to partnering with the SME community.
Guy Mucklow, CEO of Postcode Anywhere, said: "We are delighted to receive this award in what is a highly competitive category. The release of our search based service for addressing, Capture +, has really helped drive our growth and is leading the transformation in the way in which this technology is used in our market. Over the last year we have also entered into a partnership with Canada Post, which now also provides the perfect model to enable us to aggressively scale the business."
Susan Bowen, Chief of Staff UK & Ireland at Hewlett Packard commented: "On behalf of HP, I would like to congratulate our winners and shortlisted companies. We’ve been overwhelmed by the volume of entries this year and the shortlist is a testament to the incredible energy and dynamism within the UK’s SME community. We look forward to seeing these businesses continue to grow and flourish."
Lord Younger, Intellectual Property Minister at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, said: "These awards recognise the innovation and creativity that exists in our UK SMEs and I congratulate the winners.
"SMEs are at the centre of our efforts to make the UK the best place to start and grow a business. This is why in the autumn we will launch a public campaign to celebrate British business success stories. The Government wants to inspire other small businesses and point them towards the support that can help them grow. We will also launch a new strategy for how the whole of Government will back them. This will set out a range of measures to continue helping budding entrepreneurs and existing businesses succeed."
The winners were presented with their awards at a glittering ceremony held at the new Serpentine Sackler Gallery in London. Category winners received an HP product of their choice to match their business needs (including the HP ElitePad 900 or the HP OfficeJet Pro X) and further prizes provided by category sponsors, including a business mentoring session with a senior director of Addison Lee and a Responsible Business Check Up from Business in the Community.
