Bob Moore Construction Receives 2013 Achievement Award from Tilt-Up Concrete Association
Bob Moore Construction has received the 2013 Achievement Award for retail construction from the Tilt-up Concrete Association (TCA). The TCA Achievement Awards program was established to honor projects that use site-cast Tilt-Up concrete to introduce new building types, advance industry technology and provide unique solutions to building programs. Bob Moore Construction received the 2013 Achievement Award for the Harley-Davidson of North Texas dealership in Carrollton, Texas.
Arlington, TX, October 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bob Moore Construction has received the 2013 Achievement Award for retail construction from the Tilt-up Concrete Association (TCA).
The TCA Achievement Awards program, a national competition in its 23rd year, was established to honor projects that use site-cast Tilt-Up concrete to introduce new building types, advance industry technology and provide unique solutions to building programs. The winning entries illustrate the variety, beauty, and flexibility of the Tilt-Up construction concept, as well as Tilt-Up's unique ability to get maximize schedule and cost efficiencies. Judging criteria includes aesthetic appeal, architectural creativity, and engineering & construction creativity.
Bob Moore Construction received the 2013 Achievement Award for the Harley-Davidson of North Texas dealership on I-35E in Carrollton, TX. This 50,000 SF facility was built using tilt-up construction and is clad with a brick façade to match the look of the original Harley-Davidson manufacturing plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A 42’ tower atrium stands above the front entrance to the dealership. The interior includes showrooms, sales offices, a parts / accessories department and 20,100 SF motorcycle service area.
The Achievement Award is only the latest recognition Bob Moore Construction has received from the TCA. In August the company became the first general contractor in the United States to earn the TCA’s Tilt-up Contractor certification. Bob Moore Construction was also one of the first general contractors in Texas to have its superintendents evaluated and certified as Tilt-Up Supervisors by the American Concrete Institute in a joint program with the TCA.
The TCA Achievement Award was presented September 30th at the trade organization’s 2013 National Convention Dinner in Houston, TX. Ed McGuire, Executive Vice President for Bob Moore Construction, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
