AAA Galvanizing Realizes Double Digit Savings for Electricity
AAA Galvanizing selected Electric Control Services to provide an electric management system for their Dixon, IL plant. They were guaranteed an 8.78% reduction in electric use (KwH) but have seen nearly a 17% reduction in electric use.
Chicago, IL, September 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- AAA Galvanizing of Dixon, Illinois undertook an energy savings program provided by Electric Control Services, LLC of Chicago, Illinois. Electric Control Systems is an affiliate of Energy Automation Systems, Inc (EASI) located in Hendersonville Kentucky. The system was sold, installed and project managed by Electric Control Services. EASI provided design services and the system components.
AAA Galvanizing treated over 53 electrical motors and devices as well as lighting. They were guaranteed a KwH reduction of 8.78%. The guarantee is insured through Lloyd's of London.
The system is designed to reduce distribution losses, reduce heat throughout the entire electrical system, correct harmonic issues and reduce swells and sags.
Based on the International Protocol for Measurement and Verification, AAA's first three month's savings was nearly 17% in KwH. This savings is a direct correlation to dollar savings. Data is analyzed on a monthly basis and includes a month to month billing comparison, degree days and production data.
Kevin Irving, Vice President of AAA Galvanizing said: "we have six other facilities and with the technology proven to us we will begin to deploy this technology in all our plants."
