Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina Partners with St. Mary’s School Athletic Program
OSNC Personnel to Provide Medical Care and Treatment to St. Mary’s School Student-Athletes
Raleigh, NC, October 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Mark Galland, lead physician at Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina (OSNC), has announced that the practice has partnered with St. Mary’s School in Raleigh to provide on-site care and treatment to student-athletes at school sporting events. OSNC personnel will be present for the school’s sporting events and will be responsible for treatment to athletic injuries.
St. Mary’s School is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory, boarding and day school dedicated to academic excellence and personal achievement for girls in grades 9-12. St. Mary’s School offers a full interscholastic athletic program consisting of 18 teams in various sports, including cross country, field hockey, golf, tennis, volleyball, basketball, swimming, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and track & field.

Dr. Mark Galland is an orthopaedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist and physician at Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina. Galland received his medical degree from Tulane University’s School of Medicine and completed his residency in the university’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He began his career in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine while serving in the United States Navy at a naval hospital at Camp Lejeune, N.C. There, he served as chief of orthopaedic surgery and was the recipient of numerous awards for both leadership and excellence in treating injuries common to sailors and marines.
