Art Show: "Groups and Games"

Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, October 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Local artist, Robin Burkhardt of Central Valley, is exhibiting twenty paintings in a show at the Hudson St. Cafe, 237 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. The artist is known for her paintings of buildings and scenes in Orange County. The current show features oil paintings of groups of people who have lived in Newburgh, Port Jervis, Middletown and Poughkeepsie. In a departure from her usual direction Ms. Burkhardt has used house paint and cardboard to produce oversized board games. When asked to explain this new style she could not find an answer but simply said, "I am looking to where it will lead."

The cafe is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, closing at 3 pm. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Central Valley United Methodist Church. The show has been extended until November 8, 2013.
