Newly Certified Solar System for Developing Countries
A new affordable and reliable Solar Hot Water system has been awarded with the OG-300 certification. This system provides a great opportunity for developing countries as it significantly lowers the costs of running hot water.
San Diego, CA, October 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The latest technology in solar thermal hot water systems for developing countries is officially on the market. Today, the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC), awarded SunMaxx Solar's ThermoPower VTS30-HP the OG-300 Certification.
According to the SRCC, "The OG-300 rating and certification program for solar hot water systems integrates results of collector tests with a performance model for the entire system." The independent third-party non-profit conducted numerous durability tests for the certification. The VTS30-HP received the industry's highest thermosyphon rating for system durability, reliability, installation, safety and operation.
SunMaxx Solar's CEO, Adam Farrell, mentions the company "...knows developing countries have incredibly high electricity and gas prices. The cost of running hot water for any period of time can be mind-boggling. This system changes everything."
SunMaxx Solar designed the ThermoPower VTS30-HP system, keeping developing countries in mind. First, the "all-in-one" thermosyphon system has a hot water tank and a pump built into the solar collector, which dramatically lowers transport and installation costs. Second, the system runs for less than $1500.
