Hairstylists of Aveda Academy Denver Provide Hair Salon Services to Children at St. Vincent Home

Denver, CO, October 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Stylists from Pure Talent Salon at the Aveda Academy Denver have partnered with Mount St. Vincent Home in Denver to offer hair salon services to children residents who live on the campus.

A haircut and style may be a typical hair salon event for most, but for children who have been abused or neglected, it’s a luxury they aren’t consistently afforded. However, stylists at Pure Talent Salon believe that everyone, especially children without parents, need hair care. Not only do new haircuts provide a respite from their day, but also a cleaner appearance will often make a huge difference in a child’s self-confidence and self-image.

Using Mount St. Vincent’s facilities, all the basic amenities of a hair salon are brought to the campus, so that Pure Talent Salon stylists can give the resident children a chance to feel pampered and special. While it may only offer a short respite, one cannot underestimate how much a few minutes of attention and care can do for a person’s disposition. Pure Talent Salon stylists visit the home once every 8 weeks to make it more convenient for staff and the children.
