Horry Telephone Will Deploy Converged Video Services Powered by Minerva’s Service Management Platform
South Carolina Cooperative has selected Minerva iTVFusion platform to offer advanced television services.
Las Vegas, NV, October 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Minerva Networks, a leading provider of software solutions for the delivery of television services over broadband networks, announced today that Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC) has selected Minerva’s award winning iTVFusion platform to power its next generation in-home video service. HTC will be able to offer its subscribers a compelling user experience and new features including whole home DVR, interactive EPG, and multiscreen services.
Conway, South Carolina based HTC is the nation’s largest telecommunications cooperative, offering a full range of telecommunications and broadband services to its customers over DSL, FTTH, and HFC access networks. Because of HTC’s diverse network facilities, they needed a single service management platform that would allow the delivery of consistent services to all their subscribers. With Minerva’s iTVFusion HTC will be well be able to offer a competitive multi-screen solution across their entire network footprint.
“With Minerva iTVFusion we will be able to deliver a competitive and engaging in-home video experience while minimizing operating expenses,” said Brent Groome, Chief Executive, Customer Operations. “We have been very pleased with the service and support we’ve received from Minerva as we worked through the evaluation process,” added Scott Everett, Chief Executive Plant Operations.
“By combining its advanced network infrastructure with our iTVFusion’s platform HTC will be able to deliver a best in class solution to their subscribers,” said Mauro Bonomi, CEO of Minerva Networks. “We are pleased to work with progressive operators like HTC and we are looking forward to a very successful product roll out.”
