One with the Water® Receives GuideStar Exchange Gold Participation Level as a Transparent Non-Profit

One with the Water® today received the GuideStar Exchange Gold participation level, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability. This level demonstrates One with the Water®’s deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability.

Los Angeles, CA, October 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- One with the Water® today received the GuideStar Exchange Gold participation level, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc., the premier source of nonprofit information. This level demonstrates One with the Water®'s deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability. In order to be awarded the GuideStar Exchange logo, One with the Water® was required to fill out every required field of the nonprofit report page on www.guidestar.org for the Gold level of participation.

The GuideStar Exchange is an initiative designed to connect nonprofits with current and potential supporters. With millions of people coming to GuideStar to learn more about nonprofit organizations, the GuideStar Exchange allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with GuideStar's many audiences. Becoming a GuideStar Exchange participant is free of charge. To join, organizations need to update their report pages, completing all required fields for participation. The GuideStar Exchange level logos, acknowledged as symbols of transparency in the nonprofit sector, are displayed on all Exchange participants' nonprofit reports.

As a non-profit, grants and donations to One with the Water® pay exclusively for pool space, insurance, and swim lessons for children, Veterans and families with limited financial means. Since its founding, One with the Water® has given out over $51,000 in scholarships to needy students and changed the lives of over 700 swimmers. One with the Water® is proud to offer special needs swim classes for persons with disabilities, or mental or physical challenges. Swimming lessons are available year-round with swim classes designed to help swimmers learn and improve skills, maintain physical fitness, and achieve success.
