Lightweight Vacuum Cleaners List Released by Vacuum Cleaner Advisor
Lightweight vacuum cleaners help reduce stress on the back, arms and wrists. But it isn't always easy to find a good one. Vacuum Cleaner Advisor's latest list is designed to help consumers find the best machine for their buck.
Seattle, WA, November 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Many home owners end up with aching muscles after pushing or lugging a heavy vacuum around while cleaning. This is a common complaint and one that vacuum manufacturers seem largely to ignore. Perhaps buyers feel that a solid, heavy machine is better built and provides more bang for their buck. But that is not always true. Vacuum Cleaner Advisor has just released its latest list of the best lightweight vacuum cleaners to help potential buyers make the right choice.
The 2013 list includes both upright vacuums and canister vacuums. Weights range from just over 8 lbs to about 13 lbs. Upright manufacturers that made the cut include Dyson, Oreck, Hoover, Shark and Dirt Devil while canister manufacturers include Electrolux, Bissell, Eureka, Hoover, Dyson and Miele.
The lightest upright in the list is the Oreck 2100 RHS. This vacuum weighs in at an incredible 8.2 lbs and gets great ratings from consumers to boot. It’s something of a no-frills machine and it doesn’t come with tools or fancy features. It does have a 35 foot power cord and very strong suction however. Lightweight upright prices range from just over $50 to close to $500.
The lightest canister is the Eureka 3670G Mighty Mite. This isn’t a “heavy duty” machine but it has powerful suction and is good on hard floors. More robust lightweight canisters include the likes of the Dyson DC26 and the Electrolux UltraActive Deepclean. The most affordable of the lightweight canisters can be found for about $50 while the more expensive units top out at over $1000.
