Kowa Optimed Returns as Exhibitor at the 117th AAO Meeting
Kowa Optimed to feature seven of its major products as this year's AAO meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Torrance, CA, October 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In accordance with its longstanding tradition of attendance, Kowa Optimed is proud to announce it will return to exhibit at the 117th annual American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Meeting November 14th through 19th at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Kowa Optimed booth will offer a range of products to test with knowledgeable staff on hand to answer any questions visitors may have. Kowa Optimed is proud to feature the Kowa Nonmyd WX3D simultaneous stereo retinal camera in this year’s booth, in addition to the Kowa AP 7000 perimeter, Kowa FM-600 and Kowa FM-700 flare meters, the gold standard SL-15 hand-held slit lamp, and the Kowa VX-20 combination non-mydriatic and mydriatic retinal camera. Kowa Optimed will also have software engineers on hand to discuss Kowa’s innovative Digiversal software program.

This year’s featured product, the Kowa Nonmyd WX3D simultaneous stereo retinal camera, offers both 2D and superior stereo 3D images while maintaining Kowa’s high quality imaging and ease of use. The Nonmyd WX3D uses an exclusive optical design combined with a high-resolution NikonÒ digital camera back. The Nonmyd WX3D displays images of the ONH and macula in 3D, providing superior stereo images to support diagnosis of sight-threatening conditions such as glaucoma. In 2D mode, the Nonmyd WX3D operates like a standard 45-degree non-mydriatic retinal camera. The small pupil option enables photography even with smaller pupil sizes. Mosaic photography is an additional option available when using the 9-point fixation mode.
