George’s Shoe and Repair is Celebrating 50 Years in the Northern Suburbs

Minneapolis, MN, November 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- 50 years ago George’s Shoe and Repair moved from West Saint Paul to the north suburbs. On November 8th and 9th George’s Shoe and Repair will be having an in-store celebration to commemorate 50 years in their northern suburb location. The celebration will include specials on several brands of shoes and boots as well as free giveaways.

“This celebration is a way for us to show our customers how much we appreciate their support. It’s a day where the sales floor transforms into a tribute to our customers. Our entire family, as well as the vendors, come out to show their gratitude to all of our customers who support local business,” explains Ron George, Owner.

George’s Shoe and Repair has been a family owned business since 1905. The store has been passed down from one generation to the next for the past 108 years. Today it is owned by Ron George. This year is the first full year that owner Ron George is joined in business with two of his children, Melissa and Luke, who will be taking over the family business. George's not only fixes shoes but carries a large selection of shoes and boots, including UGG Australia.

George’s Shoe and Repair works directly with Nordstrom at Mall of America to help repair any shoe or boot that has been damaged. Over the years George’s Shoe and Repair has repaired over 16,000 shoes for Nordstrom.
