Laboratory Testing Inc. Earns Renewal of Nadcap Accreditation with Merit Status
The Nadcap Nondestructive Testing Accreditations covering ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection and liquid penetrant testing have been renewed for Laboratory Testing Inc. with Merit Status for an extended 24-month term.
Philadelphia, PA, November 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) has earned renewal of Nadcap accreditations in Nondestructive Testing and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance with Merit Status. LTI has been awarded 18-month merit status for many years, but received an extended 24-month accreditation term for the most recent nondestructive testing renewal.
“This special recognition is based on the results of our recent nondestructive testing and quality system audits, as well as our past audit history with the Performance Review Institute. We are pleased to be recognized for our competency in nondestructive testing and the strong quality program we have in place here at LTI,” said Frank Peszka, Director of Quality.
Laboratory Testing Inc. has been Nadcap accredited in nondestructive testing for liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection and ultrasonic testing methods since 1992. LTI was first accredited for materials testing in 1994 and now has a scope that covers an extensive list of chemistry, metallography and mechanical testing methods such as elemental analysis, spectroscopy, wet chemistry, microhardness, corrosion, heat treating, stress rupture, tensile, fracture toughness, specimen machining and evaluation of welds. The current accreditations are valid through January 31, 2016 for nondestructive testing and April 30, 2015 for materials testing. Copies of the Nadcap certificates are available on the Laboratory Testing website at http://www.labtesting.com/quality-program/accreditations/.
Nadcap is the Performance Review Institute’s aerospace industry accreditation program, which helps ensure that aerospace manufacturers and suppliers meet certain quality requirements to support safety, quality and reliability of products and services within the realm of aerospace. The Performance Review Institute was created by SAE International in 1990 and performs their accreditation process in accordance with SAE Aerospace Standard AS7003. LTI specializes in metals testing and inspection, polymer testing, chemical analysis of metals, powdered metals, ores, ferroalloys, composites and ceramics, test specimen machining, dimensional inspection and calibration of measuring tools and instruments. The lab is PRI Nadcap accredited and accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025. An array of mechanical testing, metallurgical testing, corrosion testing, chemistry and nondestructive testing services are performed to industry specifications by LTI. Certified material test reports and certificates of calibration provide customers with detailed inspection results. Failure investigations are conducted to determine the root cause of material failures and test specimens and samples are prepared at LTI. First-article and third-party dimensional inspection services are performed on machined products and parts. The calibration lab provides dimensional, pressure, force, torque, electrical, temperature, mass and vacuum calibration services traceable to NIST. On-site calibration service is offered for surface plates, hardness testers, optical comparators, temperature controllers, balances, electrical instruments, testing machines, hand tools and other equipment. LTI provides new measuring instruments, replacement parts and repairs.
