A&R Tarpaulins Inc. has won the Industrial Fabrics Association International Outstanding Achievement Award for its UV Protective Transport Cover project it completed for United Launch Alliance.
Fontana, CA, November 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A&R Tarpaulins Inc. has won the Industrial Fabrics Association International Outstanding Achievement Award for its UV Protective Transport Cover project it completed for United Launch Alliance.
“We designed, developed, and produced a 17-foot diameter cover for a dome shaped booster,” said Kenny Weisbart, A&R general manager. “It was difficult because we had to create the cover in 12 section panels; but we were able to use new innovations and technology to complete the project.”
A&R won the award in IFAI’s International Achievement Awards program’s Technical & Other – Miscellaneous category. A&R received the award at the IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo 2013 and Advanced Textiles Conference & Trade Show at the Orlando Convention Center in Florida on October 24.
IFAI is a nonprofit trade association with 1,800 member companies.
“The A&R team accomplished this task and the award belongs to them,” Weisbart said. “Their dedication and innovative abilities is how this massive project was completed.”
