Jerry’s Artarama Helps to Raise Funds for the Hero Initiative

Successful Comic Book Launch Event Raises Funds for Not-For-Profit Corporation Dedicated to Helping Comic Book Creators

Raleigh, NC, November 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Jerry’s Artarama, a national retailer of art supplies and materials headquartered in Raleigh, sponsored a successful launch event held on Saturday, Oct. 12, for writer/cartoonist Jamal Igle’s graphic album series called “Molly Danger” at JHU Comic Books located at 32 East 32nd St. in Manhattan. The launch party took place during the New York Comic Con, one of the biggest media conventions on the East Coast.

Proceeds from the event were donated to Hero Initiative, the first ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. A portion of the copies sold were donated “to honor the creators of the past in a small way, and to celebrate the future,” Igle said.

The first book in the “Molly Danger” series is available for sale at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart. The “Molly Danger” Audiobook is also available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and Amazon MP3 UK. For more information about Jamal Igle, visit his website at www.JamalIgle.com.
