First Travel Alliance Completes New Agent Training Initiatives; Adds Preferred Vendors

The company’s most recent efforts to elevate education and training of its agents culminated with an intensive training protocol hosted at its training facility near the St Louis International Airport (STL). The two-day session, October 25 and 26, allowed agents to meet with suppliers, engage in a variety of training and experience classes on intensive sales and marketing techniques. First Travel Alliance plans to increase its frequency of supplier-focused training, and meetings and is also planning its first annual conference for 2014. “I was impressed by the enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication of our members to selling travel. They are clearly interested in sales techniques, strategic planning and product training, along with other educational opportunities being developed and we intend to provide that service to our membership,” Scott said.

First Travel Alliance also announced the signing of two additional preferred partnerships with respected industry suppliers, Sky Bird Travel and VillaDirect.

Sky Bird Travel, based in Southfield Mich., is a leading airfare consolidator well known in the agency community.
