Wright USA Announces the Launch of the Career Builder Professional Liability Plan

Wilmington, DE, November 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Wright USA announces the availability of a professional liability product tailored to newly hired United States government personnel. The product – called the Career Builder Plan – provides coverage for Civil and Criminal Proceedings, as well as both formal and informal investigations initiated by the Federal Government against an Insured. Entry level premiums start at $100. Eligibility is limited to previously uninsured individuals employed by the Government less than three years. The Career Builder plan is part of an innovative new effort to encourage Federal Employees to protect their future. Wright is considered the premier provider of professional liability insurance for this segment, a position it has held for nearly half a century.

“Allegations that an individual acted outside the scope of his/her job duties can be detrimental to anyone’s career,” and even groundless accusations must be vigorously defended, states Glenn Clark, President of Wright USA. “This is particularly true with employees just starting out in the Federal Government. An adverse finding could result in the loss of future promotional opportunities, demotion, or even discharge. Purchasing a professional liability insurance product with expert defense counsel is a prudent means of mitigating this exposure. Unfortunately, newly hired personnel may not be able to easily afford the premium.

“That’s why Wright developed the Career Builder Plan. It provides a meaningful coverage (Limit of Liability: $500,000) at a fraction of the cost of our other products. Despite the significantly reduced premium, these policyholders are afforded the same advocacy defense offered to our other Insureds in the event a civil, criminal, or administrative action is brought against them. Our agency is justifiably proud of its record of having defended more Federal Employees than any other insurer in this space.

“The Career Builder plan is predicated on a three-tiered rating structure,” continues Glenn. “We offer a premium entry point that is less than 50% of the rate for a more fully tenured employee. As the individual gains experience and assumes additional job responsibilities, his/her level of liability exposure increases. At each renewal, premiums are adjusted to be commensurate with the risk assumed. At the end of the third year, the Career Builder policyholder will be transitioned into another Wright professional liability product that best suits their needs. Our objective is to help newer employees protect their future.

“Wright has willingly absorbed the majority of the first year and second year premium costs to encourage new federal employees to adopt good risk management practices at the beginning of their careers,” concludes Glenn.
