Working to Save Lives with the Working Person’s Store
A fundraising contest for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.
South Bend, IN, November 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Working Person’s Store has teamed up with the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation to raise money, while having fun, for the treatment of and to raise awareness about testicular cancer.
To enter the contest, first a clean shaven picture must be sent to brandy@workingperson.com by November 15th. Next, a donation will be made on the fundraising site. The minimum donation is $10; however, more can be donated. Working Person’s Store will match up to $100 of every donation. If a person does not want to enter the contest they can still donate and get 500 points added to their Working Person's Store Rewards account! At the end of the month, each person who submitted a clean shaven picture will send their bearded picture in to be judged.
The contest will be judged by Jordan Jones, a testicular cancer survivor, and the principle reason the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation was created.
The winner will be awarded a $500 WorkingPerson.com gift card and the runner up will receive a $250 gift card.
Join the fun for a good cause and grow a sweet, sweet stache or beard to show your support for the treatment, prevention, and awareness about testicular cancer.

About Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation’s Founder & CEO Kim Jones: Until October 26, 2007, I was a mother, a wife, and a mortgage banker. On that day, however, my life was changed in immeasurable ways. That was the day my son's battle with cancer began. (click here for more of Jordan’s Story) Everything I had done up to that point in my life, no longer mattered. The only job that mattered was being a mother and watching my son fight for his life. I watched him go through life threatening surgeries, six cycles of chemotherapy, and countless hours of pain and suffering. Nothing I had done prior to this could have prepared me for what was to come… I wondered why, along with countless others, was unaware that testicular cancer was such a common diagnosis in young men starting at the early age 15. Why had my son's cancer progressed to stage 4 before we even knew he had it? If I had known what to look for, the cancer would not have progressed that far. My passion now is to help other families and young men from missing the signs of testicular cancer and help save lives. I cannot imagine having to deal with the death of a child, husband or brother to this disease.
