RE/MAX Alliance Group Named Goodwill Manasota Ambassador of the Year
Southwest Florida Real Estate Firm Honored for Leadership, Commitment, and Dedication to Community
Sarasota, FL, November 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- RE/MAX Alliance Group was recognized by Goodwill Manasota at the third annual Goodwill Ambassador of the Year Awards Dinner held recently at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. The event, emceed by Lulu from 106.5 CTQ, drew more than 350 guests.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Goodwill Manasota Ambassador of the Year,” said Broker/Partner Peter Crowley. “Community involvement is highly valued at all levels of the RE/MAX organization, and we are particularly proud of our participation with worthy Goodwill programs.”
RE/MAX Alliance Group donated the seed money to launch a Goodwill jobs initiative for veterans returning from harm’s way. Goodwill began the "American Veterans and Their Families Initiative" in 2013 to help military veterans returning from Afghanistan and Iraq to find employment.
RE/MAX Alliance Group was one of four to receive the award, which recognizes those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment and dedication to the community. Also honored was Margaretann “Annie” Villani, a blind employee who sorts and hangs clothes in the Honore Avenue retail store, who was named the 2013 Goodwill Employee of the Year.
Goodwill estimates that it will serve more than 12,000 people this year, and it expects that number will grow with additional sponsorships and donations. In addition, it currently employs more than 150 employees with disabilities.
