Rotorcraft Pro Awards Scholarships and Helps Participants at HeliSuccess 2013

Las Vegas, NV, November 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Rotorcraft Pro Media Network (RPMN) sponsored and produced another stellar event to a sold out crowd at this year’s HeliSuccess Career Development Seminar held in Las Vegas. The event’s first day kicked off with a FAAST meeting and social hour. The second day followed with presentations from industry experts covering offshore oil support, EMS, agriculture, law enforcement, utility, firefighting, tour operations, and international flying. Other speakers canvassed professionalism in the work force, resume writing, and networking.

The third day concluded the seminar with the always popular HeliSuccess job fair, attended by top industry employers such as PHI, Flight Safety, Era Helicopters, Med-Trans, Air Evac Lifeteam, REACH, Air Medical, Papillon Helicopters, and Air Methods. RPMN editor-in-chief and seminar producer, Lyn Burks, remarked, “The HeliSuccess job fair provides attendees a unique opportunity to have face-to-face meetings with potential employers. This event not only educates the young aviators in our industry, but also approximately 70 attendees will be hired as a result of their participation.”

Rotorcraft Pro is also pleased to announce this year’s HeliSuccess scholarship recipients: Theresa LaRue from Civic Helicopters and Daniel Amos from Specialized Helicopters. Both attendees will each receive $1,000 to apply toward their training. Rotorcraft Pro, the Vertical Reference (VR) community, and Colorado Heli-Ops funded the scholarships.
