US Toy Company Partners with Johnson County Christmas Bureau This Holiday Season
US Toy Company helps Johnson County Christmas Bureau serve thousands of families this holiday season.
Grandview, MO, November 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- US Toy Company is proud to announce their partnership with the Johnson County Christmas Bureau this holiday season. For the second year in a row, US Toy will be involved with JCCB in serving the low-income residents of Johnson Country, Kansas.
Every holiday season, JCCB opens their doors to families in need to participate in their "Holiday Shop." What started in 1960 as an adopt-a-family project over the years has evolved into a yearly event that served nearly 4,000 families last year. The nine-day shopping event provides groceries, personal care and household supplies, children's clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, coats, toys, gifts, and books. Families are given a certain time to show up and are given a prescribed number of food and clothing items. Once they have that information, they are free to choose what personal items they need.
US Toy is pleased to join the efforts of UPS, Kimberly Clark, Hallmark, and many others in supporting this great cause. They will be offering warehouse space, toys, and many other essentials to help make the holidays special for families in need. US Toy co-CEO Jonathan Freiden said, "The holidays are about giving. We want to do everything we can to help make a difference in these families lives and help them enjoy the holidays this year."
