The Salvation Army of Lee Hendry and Glades Counties Will Hold Kettle Kickoff
Fort Myers, FL, November 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Salvation Army (TSA) of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties is pleased to announce the Kettle Kickoff, an event to start the 2013 Red Kettle Season for Lee/Hendry/Glades, Charlotte, and Collier counties. The Kettle Kickoff will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 15th at the Coconut Point mall, outdoors in front of Teavana (23106 Fashion Drive, Estero FL). The event will feature holiday music, and representatives from each of The Salvation Army groups will be present to begin the season.
Representatives from The Salvation Army of Lee/Hendry/Glades, Charlotte, and Collier counties will be at the event to announce their individual goals and the collective Southwest Florida Red Kettle goal. They will also thank the community for its generous support for this annual fundraising effort. Major Tom Louden (Lee, Hendry, Glades), Major Dan Proctor (Collier), and Captain Josue Prieto (Charlotte) will be available for interviews.
The event will also feature holiday music to celebrate the occasion. Children from Bobbie Noonan’s Child Care will be singing Christmas carols as they make the first donations into the red kettle for the season. The Salvation Army traditional brass band ensemble will also be playing Christmas tunes to usher in the season.
