Lincoln, NH, September 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Jeanne Treat is the author of “Dark Birthright”, a historical fantasy described by readers as a seventeenth century tale from Scotland’s mystic shores. Released in October 2006, this first book in a trilogy has been well received by reviewers and fans of historical fiction, fantasy, and romance. It was illustrated by well-known artist Jane Starr Weils.
Jeanne was born and raised in Western New York, near the shores of the mighty Niagara. The great-granddaughter of a Native American medicine woman, she also has ancestry from Scotland, England, and France. To research this book, she traveled to Scotland to visit castles, seaports, and stone circles, and talk to local historians.
