Great News for Bay Area Barbecue Lovers
Tampa, FL, September 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- There’s great news for all barbecue lovers in the Tampa Bay Area this month because the Schofield Restaurant Group is bringing Shane’s Rib Shack to the Tampa Bay area. The first location recently opened in Lutz in Northpoint Village at Suncoast Crossings, which is located at the intersection of State Road 54 and the Suncoast Parkway.
Shane’s Rib Shack was started in McDonough, Georgia in 2002 by Shane Thompson utilizing his grandfather’s secret barbeque sauce recipe. Shane’s Rib Shack, a quick casual barbecue restaurant is one of the many concepts franchised by Atlanta-based Raving Brands, most known for Moe’s Southwest Grill and Planet Smoothie. Raving Brands acquired Shane’s in 2004, and by the end of this year Shane’s will be open in 100 locations throughout the United States.
“We thought Shane’s would be a great addition to Tampa’s restaurant scene because coming to Shane’s is like coming home for that big Sunday dinner that your mama cooks for the family,” Trent Schofield, owner of Shane’s Barbecue, “When customers walk through the door, they become part of Shane’s family. The menu takes diners through southern favorites ranging from a “Smothered Pork Sandwich” to “Baby Back Ribs”, both of which feature the family’s secret barbecue sauce. Shane’s smokes the meat overnight, hand chops it in the morning and serves it daily so customers enjoy the best tasting highest-quality rib and BBQ product on the marketplace. There’s even a huge array of sides that includes the not often seen items of Okra and Brunswick Stew. At home family members can get seconds, while Shane’s takes out that second step and provides customers with portions that will satisfy even the hungriest patron.
Schofield Restaurant Group owns and operates Shane’s Rib Shacks in the Naples, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa Bay markets. Locations in both Carrollwood and South Tampa are coming soon.
