Book Series Supported by Online Marketplace for Funding and Advertising
Online Marketplaces Leading the Way in Advertising, Funding, and Project Development
Sacramento, CA, November 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- California publishing house Small Biz Thoughts is the latest “cool” technologies to fund and promote their new book publishing project. Popular Author Karl W. Palachuk has turned to Indiegogo crowdfunding to raise money for the project and is using Fiverr.com to generate marketing ads.
Indiegogo.com is a crowdfunding platform where people who want to raise project monies can tell their story and get the word out. Campaigns range from film and music projects, to supporting small business and charities. Small Biz Thoughts launched the crowdfunding campaign last month and it ends December 15th. Small Biz Thoughts has welcomed a number of Indiegogo contributions so far and report that a positive media buzz is coming through from the Author’s established following.
Coupled with this online, fan-based fundraising effort, Small Biz Thoughts has made use of Fiverr.com to produce advertisements to distribute through social media. Fiverr is a global online freelance marketplace with a wide range of artwork, graphics and video offerings ready for custom ordering. Small Biz Thoughts Marketing Manager Monica Caraway says, “The reaction to the gimmicky ads we had made by Fiverr freelance artists has been terrific, particularly with ads that are caricatures of the Author, as he has a significant social media following and his audience enjoys the humor in it.”
The overall goal of this new-age marketing tactic and online fundraising is to support a 4-volume book series to be written by prominent I.T. Author Karl W. Palachuk. The funding will allow Palachuk to write, publish, and release all 4 books at the same time.
Palachuk’s audience is quite eager for the series. The book series concept, Standard Operating Procedures for I.T. Consultants, was born out of Palachuk’s popular blog feature S.O.P. Friday’s, which offers guidance for I.T. consultants on how to run their own I.T. businesses. The blog and S.O.P. series have helped thousands of consultants around the world.
