2013 Tampa Bay Woman of the Year: Nineteen Nominees and One Winner
Westchase Charitable Foundation is holding its 4th annual Tampa Bay Woman of the Year Grand Finale Ladies Night Out at the Tampa Jet Center on November 23, 2013. One of the nineteen women nominated will be named Woman of the Year.
Tampa, FL, November 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Who will be the 2013 Tampa Bay Woman of the Year? Nineteen local ladies have been nominated for this revered title. Only one will win.
The women nominated for Tampa Nay Woman of the Year are all professionals who are active in the community. Professions range from attorneys and financial planners to CEOs and sales. Each nominee has her prominent identity that she holds high.
Ashley Johnson is a Certified Financial Planner™ at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. She encourages her clients to imagine, develop, and achieve their financial goals. In 2012 Johnson was named one of Tampa Bay’s top three financial planners by Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Best in the Biz Reader’s Choice Awards. She was the only woman in the top ten. Johnson is one of only 32 Florida women under the age of 30 to earn the Certified Financial Planner™ title. Along with her career, Johnson holds multiple leadership roles in organizations around Tampa Bay. She is a past president of a Business Networking International (BNI) chapter, the BNI Collaborators. She is active in SERVE, the Producers Board of The Straz Center, Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers (HAWL), and Accountants Bankers Lawyers Engineers (ABLE). Not only does she love what she does, but she does what she loves.
Nominees for Tampa Bay Woman of the Year have guidelines to follow to earn the title. The campaign runs from early September through the day of the Grand Finale on November 23, 2013. The women have to raise monetary and product donations. The product donations will be used for silent and live auctions at the Grand Finale. Monetary donations will go to the Westchase Charitable Foundation (WCF), a non-profit organization that helps families in the Tampa Bay area.
The Westchase Charitable Foundation has provided over $260,000 to families in need. The organization focuses on families who have a parent or a child battling a serious illness or other catastrophic family situations. WCF strives to be the foundation that brings out the good in each of us. The organization is completely volunteer run and has been around for 10 years. The Tampa Bay Woman of the Year event is one of the main fundraising events benefiting WCF.
Tampa Bay Woman of the Year Grand Finale Ladies Night Out will be held on November 23, 2013 at the Tampa Jet Center. This exciting evening was organized by Premier Style Events, a full service boutique event planning company, and has something to entertain everyone. There will be acrobats hanging from the ceiling, DJs, auctions, a magician, and fashion show. Tickets are all-inclusive with food provided by top vendors like Carrabbas, Flemings, and That’s Amore. Items up for auction include tickets to sporting events, theme parks, and concerts, as well as certificates for spa treatments, restaurants, and getaways.
