School of Rock is Hosting an All-Day Music Festival for Charity on December 7th in Its Frisco School and Live Music Venue, The Vault
Frisco, TX, November 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Every December, the School of Rock DFW locations gather together to put on an all-day, festival-style show, featuring every single student in all of their schools. The cover is a suggested donation of $10, and it goes toward their tax deductible scholarship fund, providing music lessons for kids who otherwise can’t afford it.
“I love working at School of Rock where we are one big community. I know that I can go into any school and work with talented local artists, who care about teaching and inspiring the next generation of musicians. I know that the families at our schools all care about supporting the arts, and encouraging their kids to grow not only as musicians, but as caring people within their community. That’s what we’re about. And being able to do that for less fortunate families through events like this one, is just the icing on the cake.” – Kristin Leigh, General Manager, School of Rock Frisco
With 6 locations in DFW and a 7th opening up soon in Mansfield, it is not hard to see why School of Rock was listed as one of the “Top 5 Hot Franchises” in 2013 by CNN.(1) Ask any local musician, and you will hear the same thing:
“I wish I had School of Rock when I was in school. I taught myself how to play, because there wasn’t anything like this; never a way for me to play with other kids my age. That is why I love what I do. I get to inspire kids every day!” – Marty Morris, Music Director, School of Rock Southlake.
If you want to come out and support a great cause, see some young talented musicians, at a great family-friendly rock concert, here are the details: Saturday, December 7th, All ages welcome, Suggested donation of $10. Music goes from 10am – 9pm. Event Page(3) Facebook Event Page(2)
